KENT, OHIO- The Mid-American Conference (MAC) has recognized Kent State Athletics for its community service with its Giveback Leadership Award for the week of November 9th through the 13th.
The Golden Flashes amassed over 500 community service hours over a three-week period as part of the Falling for Service Campaign. The student-athletes participated in a number of service opportunities that included working with the Ben Curtis Family Foundation and their Birdie Bag Program. The student-athletes helped prepare bags of food and toiletries for local students. They also virtually read to local elementary schools as part of the 2nd and 7 foundation.
