Kent State Drops 2-0 Decision to Old Dominion

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Kent State (0-2) was unable to match two early tallies from Old Dominion (2-0) on Saturday, falling 2-0 in the second game of the young season.

The Monarchs struck in the opening frame on an RBI single after a fielder's choice and stolen base placed a runner in scoring position. They brought another run in during the following inning after a walk, stolen base and error put runners on the corners, setting up a sacrifice fly to make it a 2-0 game.

Things went pretty silently from that point on, until the Golden Flashes looked to try another comeback in the 9th.
