The Kent State University athletic department mourns the passing of former women's basketball student-athlete Bonnie Beachy, who departed on Oct. 13, 2017.
Bonnie is a 1982 graduate of Kent State University and is basketball's all-time leading scorer, regardless of gender, at 2,071 points for the Golden Flashes. She earned seven letters at Kent State, four for basketball and three for tennis, and was inducted into the Kent State Varsity "K" Hall of Fame in 1988. She is the only women's basketball player in Kent State history to have her jersey, number 13, retired.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Bonnie at Klein Funeral Homes, 9719 Wortham Blvd.
