TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Kent State track and field's Reggie Jagers III captured second-place in the hammer throw Friday evening to open up the Crimson Tide Invitational for the Golden Flashes.
Jagers got off to a solid start, recording a throw of 61.14m (200' 7") on first attempt to secure a spot for him in the finals. In the finals, Jagers improved his mark to 62.05m (203' 7") to finish second overall and over 10 feet ahead of the next competitor.
In his first meet of the outdoor season, Brandon Avers recorded a personal-record time of 14:51.
