JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- Kent State's Reggie Jagers III shattered the Kent State outdoor discus record with a mark of 60.17m (197' 5") on day two of the NCAA East Regional, qualifying for the 2016 NCAA National Championships.

Jagers, a redshirt junior, finished fourth overall in the regional standings while clinching his third career bid to the NCAA Championships in the discus. Jagers broke the previous school record of 194' 3", held by Kent State Assistant Coach Nathan Fanger.

So far, Jagers is the third Golden Flash to punch a ticket to Eugene, joining Jesse Oxley (pole vault) and Jackie Leppelmeier (hammer throw).
