CLEVELAND, Ohio – Kent State sophomore forward Isabelle Mihail earned the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week after a two-goal performance against Syracuse lifted the Golden Flashes to a 2-1 double overtime victory.
Mihail scored the game-tying goal in the 80th minute to send the match to overtime before netting the game-winner in the 103rd minute when she knocked a shot in from the left side off the top of the crossbar. The Kitchener, Ontario native scored multiple goals in the same match for the first time in her career. She also scored her second career game-winning goal against a Power 5 school.
