Hot Start Cools Off in 77-66 Defeat

KENT, Ohio – Kent State (3-10, 0-3) was hot out of the gate and opened the game strong, but Buffalo (10-4, 2-1) was able to bounce back to leave the M.A.C.C. with a 77-66 victory on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Flashes came out strong, making four of their first five baskets while the Bulls were held to just one basket in their first five tries. Kent State was also outrebounding 5-0 and leading 14-2 as Buffalo was forced to call a timeout early on.

Kent State cruised along in the first, until about a minute left in the opening period when Buffalo finally found its shot.
