INDEPENDENCE, Minn. – The No. 13 Kent State University men's golf team finished fourth at the Gopher Invitational Monday, led by a runaway tournament victory by senior Ian Holt.
Kent State finished the three-round tournament at 8-over par 860 after an outstanding third-round performance. Over the final 18 holes, the Golden Flashes shot 8-under par 276, the best single round score for any team the entire tournament. Three of the counted scores were under par, with the fourth an even par 71.
Holt won the individual medalist honor by three strokes, finishing with a 10-under par score of 203.
