Hellstrom Breaks School Points Record in 2-1 Senior Night Win

KENT,Ohio- With a goal and an assist in the first half, senior Jenna Hellstrom broke the Kent State soccer points record as the Golden Flashes defeated Indiana State on Senior Night from Dix Stadium on Friday evening. The Flashes (4-1-0) picked up their fourth consecutive win while the Sycamores drop to 4-5-0 on the season.

For her career Hellstrom now has 28 goals and 25 assists for a total of 81 points, breaking Kimberly Dimitrioff's record of 78 set in 2007.

Kristen Brots got the scoring started in the 16th minute of the game as Hellstrom crossed the ball into the box where Brots met it with her head and put it passed the Indiana State keeper.
