MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Kent State gymnastics team closed out the 2017 season on Saturday with a 194.375 to place sixth at the NCAA Morgantown Regional, hosted by the West Virginia University.
The Golden Flashes got off to a solid start with a 49.025 on floor, their best event score of the competition. Kent State followed with a 48.425 on vault, 48.975 on bars and 47.950 on beam.
Junior Rachel Stypinski finished in a tie for ninth in the all-around competition with a 39.050 and just 0.125 points from advancing to the NCAA National Championships in St.
