CLEVELAND – For the second week in a row, Kent State sophomore Alyssa Guns has earned weekly honors from the Mid-American Conference, the league office announced Tuesday. Guns was named the Co-Specialist of the Week following her performance against Eastern Michigan on Sunday, sharing the award with Ball State's Suki Pfister.
Guns won her second-consecutive floor title with a 9.925 against the Eagles. She has now won on floor three times during her sophomore campaign, and her 9.895 NQS in the event is the second-highest mark in the conference. Guns also tallied a 9.
