CLEVELAND, Ohio – Maddy Grimm has been named Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. It is the ninth time she has received the award during her collegiate career.
Grimm had another monster week as the Golden Flashes opened the home schedule with five games at the Diamond at Dix. She batted .636 with four of her seven hits being home runs for a 1.727 slugging percentage, while also reaching base on seven walks and a hit by pitch for a .789 on-base percentage. Six of the seven walks were intentional, and all seven came on just four pitches.
