CLEVELAND, Ohio – Following a 5-0 start to the season, Kent State took both of this week's Mid-American Conference East Division awards. Senior Arika Roush was named Player of the Week and junior Ronnie Ladines was named Pitcher of the Week.
Roush began her senior season with the best weekend of her collegiate career, batting .533 while leading Kent State with eight hits, five RBIs, a .667 slugging percentage and a .650 on-base percentage. She reached safely in all five games and also led the Flashes with three multi-hit games and two multi-RBI games.
