The Golden Flashes return the entire starting lineup and more than 97% of the team's scoring from the 2020-21 season. Forward Nila Blackford (second team), guard Katie Shumate (honorable mention) and forward Lindsey Thall (honorable mention) were All-Mid-American Conference recipients. Blackford was one of only three players in the conference to average a double-double, leading Kent State with 15.5 points and 10.
