LAFAYETTE, La. – The Kent State men's golf team finished in sixth place at the 31st annual Louisiana Classics at Oakbourne Country Club on Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Flashes carded a 54-hole score of 14-over 878 (293-282-303) and were led by sophomore Chase Johnson (Barberton, Ohio) in nine place individually at 1-under.
No. 1 Illinois captured the team title at 15-under 849, followed by No. 45 Kansas at 14-under 850 and No. 33 Texas A&M at 11-under 853. For complete results, click here.
Johnson moved up five spots in round three, breaking into the top-10 this after shooting an even-par 72.
