ATHENS, Ohio – A quick turnarnound after grinding out a series-clinching victory at Northern Illinois on Sunday was not kind to Kent State, which lost both games of a road doubleheader to Ohio on Tuesday afternoon.
Both teams hit three home runs on the day. Freshman Bailey Brownfield, sophomore Holly Speers and senior Erika Warren launched solo shots for the Golden Flashes, while two of the Bobcats' three home runs were of the three-run variety.
Game 1: Ohio 4, Kent State 1
A big fourth inning propelled Ohio to a 4-1 victory.
