MUNCIE, Ind. – Goals by Laila Richter and Ines Delpech keyed a second-half offensive breakthrough that lifted Kent State to a 2-1 road victory over Ball State on Friday.
After the Golden Flashes and Cardinals played the first half to a scoreless tie, RIchter beat Ball State goalie Grace Chavez at 40:18 of the second half to put KSU up 1-0. Clara Rodriguez Setó notched her sixth assist of the season to trail only teammate Jessica Nesbitt (7 assists) among MAC leaders.
Delpech gave KSU some breathing room at 57:24 with her fifth goal of the year on an assist by Jamie Fries.
