Four-Run First Hands Kent State a 5-1 Victory

KENT, Ohio – Early runs solidified a 5-1 victory for Kent State (33-13, 17-3) as is hosted Miami (20-32, 6-14) Saturday evening.

Since Central Michigan lost earlier in the day at Toledo, Kent State could clinch a regular season conference championship on Sunday with a win. The Golden Flashes hold a three-game lead over the Chippewas and have the tiebreaker.

A four-run first inning secured the win as the Flashes got busy quickly. Luke Burch walked, Mason Mamarella doubled and Dylan Rosa was hit to load the bases with no outs.
