Former Standout Conners Earns Berth into PGA Tour Championship

KENT, Ohio- Former Kent State golf star Corey Conners will be competing this week, Aug. 22-25 in the PGA Tour Championship in Atlanta, Ga.

Conners had an impressive finish at the BMW Championship on Sunday at 15-under 273 and tied for seventh. At tied for seventh, Conners was the low scoring Canadian at the event and is now 23rd in the FedEx Cup rankings. He was the only Canadian to advance to the Tour Championship and is the first Canadian to play in the Tour Championship since Adam Hadwin in 2017.

After starting the season with only a partial PGA Tour card, Conners has now earned a spot in all four majors next season, the World Golf Championships, and as well as a full tour card for 2020.
