Julian Edelman, New England Patriots wide receiver and former Kent State quarterback, suffered a non-contact leg injury during New England's preseason game against the Detroit Lions Friday, which resulted in a complete tear of the ACL in his right knee, as first reported by Albert Breer.

Edelman made a catch down the middle of the field and cut upfield before landing awkwardly on his right leg and crumbling to the turf.
