INDEPENDENCE, Minn.- The Kent State men's golf team concluded the Gopher Invitational under wet and windy conditions on Monday at Windsong Farm Golf Club. The Flashes finished the tournament in eighth place at 18-over par 870 (293-284-293).
Baylor won the tournament at 4-under par 848 and Texas A&M took second with a 2-under 850 score.
Josh Gilkison was the top Flash finisher with a 1-over par 214 score (72-70-72). In the final round, Gilkison went 16 holes for par or better and birdied once. Will Kurtz posted a 1-over par 72 in Monday's final round and ended the tournament at 6-over 219 (70-77-72).
