Akron, Ohio – The Kent State track and field team wrapped up day one of the Akron Invitational at Stile Athletics Field House on Friday, Feb. 5.
In her first competition as a Golden Flash, freshman Jai'Lyn Mosley won the discus throw gold division with a mark of 50.15m (164' 6"). In the men's discus gold division, Reginald Jagers posted a mark of 55.08m (180' 8"), good enough for 3rd place. Coming in fourth behind Jagers was junior Douglas Moorer Jr. with a mark of 53.28m (174' 10").
In the women's pentathlon, Chelsea Laury finished seventh with 3,475 points, setting a personal record and moving in to ninth all-time in Kent State history.
