KENT, OHIO- Kent State returns home this weekend to host the Bowling Green Falcons in the 2019 Homecoming game as well as the Mid-American Conference Opener for both teams.
THE ANNIVERSARY AWARD
Bowling Green and Kent State play for the Anniversary Award, a traveling trophy that has been given out since 1985. The Anniversary Award trophy started as a way of celebrating the 75th anniversary of both schools being founded in 1910. Last season, the Golden Flashes snapped a five-game skid against Bowling Green and took the trophy back to Kent with a 35-28 triumph, a win that also marked Coach Sean Lewis' first Mid-American Conference victory.
