When the NCAA canceled the remainder of the 2019-20 season last March due to issues and concerns caused by COVID-19, the Kent State volleyball team was quietly preparing for its annual series of spring offseason contests.
"Literally the day before we were supposed to head to a tournament, I believe at Robert Morris, everyone was sent home," said Golden Flashes senior middle blocker Danie Tyson. "The next week after that we were supposed to go to Louisville, Kentucky. We got sent home early for Spring Break.
