OXFORD, Ohio – The Kent State field hockey team (5-3, 3-3) fell short in their second half comeback against Mid-American Conference leaders Miami losing 4-2 at the Field Hockey Complex.
The RedHawks took the lead early with a goal from Leonor Berlie on a penalty stroke. Allie Grace Joyner would score in each consecutive period nullifying the goals scored by Kent State in the second half. Senior Emma Bressler and junior Luisa Knapp were credited with the goals for the Flashes.
Senior goalkeeper Azure Fernsler finished with 8 saves on the day for Kent State.
