Flashes Tied For Fifth After First Round of Regionals

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Kent State women's golf team sits tied for fifth at the NCAA Columbus Regional after posting a first round total of 291 (+3) at the Scarlet Course.

The Regional field features 18 teams competing for six spots in the NCAA Championships, which begin next Friday in Scottsdale, Ariz. Kent State is the No. 4 seed in the field in Columbus.

Caley McGinty leads the Flashes after she fired a 70 (-2) score and is tied for second overall. McGinty went 15 holes for par or better and birdied five times.
