The Mid-American Conference announced Monday that Kent State's Luke Burch and Joey Murray were named the East Division Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for their performances this past weekend.
Burch was a huge spark for the Flashes this weekend as the team took the series at the College of Charleston. He started the weekend going 2-for-4 with two RBI, a double and two walks in a 13-5 victory. Despite a team loss, he had his best game on Saturday as he finished 4-for-5 with a homerun and two doubles. Burch rounded out the series with a 3-for-5 performance with another double.
