DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - Kent State (8-4) capped off a 2-2 weekend at the South Beach Duals Saturday with a 31-3 victory over future Mid-American Conference member SIU-Edwardsville. The Golden Flashes split their day two dual meets beginning with a hard fought 27-7 loss to No. 12 Cornell inside the Deerfield Beach Sportsplex.
"It was a lot closer than the final score indicated," Head Coach Jim Andrassy said of the Cornell dual. "There were four matches (141, 174, 184, 197) where we were either winning or tied going into the third period.
