KENT, OHIO – A day after a pitching-dominated win on the road, Kent State won in the opposite fashion on Wednesday evening at Schoonover Stadium, 13-11 over Canisius.
Twice trailing by a run early in the game, the Golden Flashes hitters posted a four-run inning in the second and then took the lead for good when they batted around in an eight-run fourth. KSU picked up back-to-back RBI hits from Brad Hamilton and Reilly Hawkins to go up 8-5 before Josh Hollander clubbed a bases-clearing triple to give the good guys a 12-5 lead.
