RADFORD, Va. – Kent State (8-3) posted a 6-0 shutout to take the series opener at Radford (2-12) on Friday.
The Golden Flashes broke through with a run in the 2nd on a bases loaded walk to Mason Mamarella on a full count. Runners reached earlier in the inning on a Conner Simonetti single, Dom Iero walk and Tim DalPorto single.
The lead opened up in the in the 5th when Alex Miklos had base hit and Zarley Zalewski followed with a walk.
