Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Kent State (19-20) offense blitzed Panther pitching and pitcher Andrea Scali fired a shutout as the Golden Flashes defeated Pitt (7-37) in run-rule fashion, 10-0 in five innings, on Tuesday evening in Pittsburgh. The Golden Flashes picked up their fifth win this year versus a Power 5 conference school and now have wins this season against the ACC, Big 10 and Big 12.
"We had a good day today at the field and it's always good to beat a Power 5 school and regional rival," said Kent State Head Coach Eric Oakley.
