No. 24 Kent State (11-3, 4-1 MAC) extended its winning streak to five with a 25-13 victory over Old Dominion Sunday afternoon at the M.A.C. Center. The Monarchs won a pair of overtime bouts in the first four matches, but the Golden Flashes claimed a pair of one-point decisions at 165 and 174 to claim the lead for good.
That lead began with Tyler Buckwalter (Mill Hall, Pa.), who edged Seldon Wright, 5-4 at 165. In the second, Buckwalter countered a Wright shot and converted his own single to a double for a takedown and rode him for the rest of the period.
