Flashes prepare for MAC East contest against Ohio

The Kent State football team will look to build on their homecoming 17-14 victory over Miami (OH) last time out, as this week they travel to Athens, Ohio, to take on Ohio (5-2, 2-1 Mid-American Conference).

“A lot of good things happened for us team-wise,” coach Paul Haynes said. “I’m pleased with the grit and fight of our guys."

The Flashes entered halftime with a 14-3 deficit, but quickly turned things around early in the third quarter, setting the tone for the second half. Quarterback George Bollas threw for 154 yards and two touchdowns, and wide receiver Mike Carrigan caught an 81-yard touchdown pass, finishing the game with 162 total offensive yards.
