KENT, Ohio – Playing at the Diamond at Dix for the first time this season, the Kent State softball team looked right at home as it earned a Mid-American Conference doubleheader split with Ohio on Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Flashes lost the first game, 6-0, and then launched five home runs in a 7-1 game two victory.
The five home runs are the most hut by Kent State (14-19, 4-4 MAC) since February 26, 2016 at Louisville, and the most at the Diamond at Dix since April 14, 2015. They accounted for half of the team's 10 hits on the day.
