KENT, Ohio - On Saturday, the Kent State lacrosse team took on Detroit Mercy in a midseason Mid-American Conference matchup. The Golden Flashes came away with the victory, their first home win of the year, 16-11.
It was one of Kent State's more sound victories of the season, with the Flashes leading by as many as 10 at one point and a continuous clock being implemented for a period of time, before Detroit was able to cut the lead back down to single digits. The Titans would score the last five goals of the game and make their deficit five, but time was not on their side, and Kent State was able to hold on for the win.
