Flashes Making Community Impact

During the first week of preseason camp, Kent State's football team spent a day away from the gridiron Sunday (Aug. 6) to help out two area organizations. The Golden Flashes broke up into two groups, heading to the Multi-County Juvenile Attention System in Canton and Haven of Rest in Akron.

The Multi-County Juvenile Attention System provides detention and rehabilitation services to the Juvenile Courts of five counties in northeast Ohio. MCJAS treats juvenile, delinquent offenders and offers services to their families in such a manner as to strengthen both the youth and their family, and strives to reduce the likelihood of the youth re-entering the criminal justice system.
