Flashes Lead Opening Day of Clemson Invitational

SUNSET, S.C.- The Kent State women's golf team stands in first place after 27-holes of play at the Clemson Invitational. Because of the weather expected for Sunday, teams played 27 holes today and will resume the remainder of the second round tomorrow.

Kent State posted a first round score of 284 (-4) and leads second-place Maryland by four shots.

"Caley started out on fire!" said coach Lisa Strom. " Everyone really had some highlights. We had great energy and everyone did an excellent job keeping their attitudes up. Momentum can really build when we are all in one group.
