SYLVANIA, Ohio – Four Kent State golfers are in the top eight spots as the Golden Flashes lead the Mid-American Conference Championships after a pair of cold and wet rounds Thursday at Highland Meadows Golf Club. With an 11-over 579, the Flashes lead second place Eastern Michigan by four strokes and hold a 14-stroke advantage over third place Northern Illinois.
"I think the tough conditions really separated the field," Head Coach Herb Page said. "The pin placements were really difficult, but we played awesome. I was very pleased. Today went according to plan.
