Flashes in top half of field after day one of Coral Creek Invitational

Placida, Fla... After the opening two rounds of the Coral Creek Invitational the Kent State men's golf team sits in eighth place with a team score of 577.

The Flashes shot nine strokes over par on the first day of the invite and are well within striking distance of a top-two finish if they can put together a strong third round on Tuesday.

Josh Gilkison and Chris Vandette led the way for Kent State each shooting a stroke under par to close out the second round tied for tenth place in Florida.

The third and final round will tee off on Tuesday at 8 am ET.
