Flashes in Second After Opening Round in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla.- The Kent State women's golf team stands in second place on day one of the UCF Challenge at the Eagle Creek Golf Club. The Flashes posted a 12-under 276 score in the first round.

Emily Price, who leads the tournament in first place, shot a 65 (-7) in the first round. Price went 17 holes for par or less after she fired eight birdies on the day. She finished her round with three straight birdies.

Caley McGinty carded a 69 (-3) and is tied for sixth. McGinty carded five birdies on the front nine and ended the round with six total.
