CLEVELAND - The Kent State University men's basketball team was honored Saturday for its MAC Championship season prior to the Cleveland Indians' game against the Seattle Mariners.
During Cleveland's Kent State Day at Progressive Field, the Flashes were invited onto the field with the 2017 MAC Tournament Championship trophy to be honored. After the team was recognized, head coach Rob Senderoff threw one of the ceremonial first pitches. Kent State football alum Brian Winters was also honored and threw out the next pitch.
Kent State recently wrapped up a 22 win season in which the Flashes won its first MAC Tournament title since 2008.
