Flashes Golf Alum Johnson Finds Success on APGA Tour

Kent State men's golf alum and 2018 All-American honorable mention Chase Johnson has sustained notable success as of late on the Advocates Professional Golf Association Tour (APGA).

In the last five events, Johnson has recorded three victories and finished second two other times. The 27-year-old took home the Jon Shippen Invitational earlier this year, which gave him a chance to compete in the PGA tour's Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit.

Johnson ended up making the cut in the PGA event held back in June, with his best round being a 68 during Saturday's play.

The former Golden Flash also found victory in the Farmers Insurance Fall Series in Cincinnati, which clinched him a spot to play in the PGA's World Wide Technology event in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico from Oct.
