OXFORD, Ohio - The Kent State field hockey team () fell 3-1 against Miami () this afternoon in the MAC Championship.
In the first quarter, the RedHawks led in penalty corners (3-1) and shots on goal (2-0). The score remained 0-0 at the end of the quarter.
With less than two minutes before halftime, Miami was able to take the 1-0 off a rebound shot.
Going into the third quarter, the RedHawks used their momentum and scored, two minutes in, to increase the lead 2-0. Each team recorded one shot during the corner.
Early in the fourth quarter, Miami continued the lead, 3-0, and converted a penalty corner.
