Flashes Fall to Falcons 65-55

KENT, Ohio – Kent State (5-19, 2-12) kept it close but could not pull a full comeback against Bowling Green (9-14, 5-9) on Saturday night, falling 65-55.

The Falcons strung together back-to-back threes to break a 6-6 tie and took an early lead, but a three on the other end from Tyra James tied the game a short time later at 15 apiece.

That tie lasted until the first quarter buzzer and was broke by a free throw by Jordan Korinek in the second. A 10-0 run by Bowling Green put the lead back into its hands later in the quarter, forcing a KSU timeout.
