KENT, Ohio- Kent State raised the bar yet again in the classroom. The athletic department recently boasted its highest spring term grade point average (3.209) in history with the help of 199 student-athletes (50%) recording a 3.4 or better.

The Golden Flashes celebrated academic success across the board as 15-of-17 programs had spring GPAs above a 3.0. The Flashes are riding a streak of 15 straight terms with a cumulative 3.0 or better, that began in the fall of 2012.

Leading the way this spring was the gymnastics team, with a 3.626. Gymnasts accounted for seven of the 43 student-athletes with a perfect 4.
