KENT, Ohio – The Kent State Gymnastics team began its season at home in the M.A.C. Center against Northern Illinois. Northern Illinois took home the victory with an overall team score of 193.175. The Flashes scored a 193.125 as a team.
Senior Jade Brown and freshman Karlie Franz tied for the floor title, scoring a 9.825. Franz also added 9.700 on both vault and beam in her first collegiate meet.
Junior Nasha Manitkul-Davis paced the Golden Flashes on vault with a score of 9.800 which tied for first overall.
