Flashes Drop Road Contest to Hawks

WEST LONG BRNACH, N.J. – Kent State (0-2) dropped its second game of the season on Sunday by a score of 5-1 on the road at Monmouth (2-0).

The Hawks got an early lead after scoring off a corner 2:15 into the game. They made it 2-0 at the 15:38 mark on a fast break goal. Eight minutes later, their lead grew to 3-0. At the 29:31, Monmouth made it a 4-0 game as the team connected on a rebound.

Before the half, the Golden Flashes were able to get on the board. Alison Harmatz dribbled in from the left side and made a great pass in to Helen Harper in traffic.
