TOLEDO, OHIO- Kent State suffered their third-straight one-run loss to Toledo as the Rockets came back to claim a 5-4 victory on Sunday at Toledo's Scott Park.
Once again, the Golden Flashes struck first, manufacturing a run in the second. Collin Mathews reached on catcher's interference and promptly stole second. He moved to third on a fly out and scored on a Mack Timbrook safety squeeze. Mike McNamara made it 3-0 in the third with a two-run homer that cut through the wind and cleared the left-field wall.
Peyton Cariaco got his first collegiate start on Sunday.
