Flashes Draw with Ball State

KENT, Ohio – In a battle for sole possession of second place in the Mid-American Conference standings, the Kent State soccer team drew with the visiting Ball State Cardinals 0-0 on Thursday night at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium.

The Golden Flashes (4-6-6, 4-1-4 MAC) extend their unbeaten stretch to six games, while Northern Illinois (6-4-6, 5-1-3 MAC) keeps its two-point advantage over the Flashes in the conference standings.

The two squads fought a physical match up and down the pitch for the full 90 minutes. Kent State controlled possession in the closing minutes of the game and created a beautiful chance for what would have been the golden goal.
