KENT, Ohio – Kent State (3-13, 0-6) fell 93-54 Wednesday night to Mid-American Conference-leading Ohio (14-3, 6-0), who's hot shooting could not be contained.
The Bobcats made half of their baskets on the night, including 17 from three-point range, setting a new MAC record for made treys in a conference contest.
The game started with both teams coming out strong, as the Golden Flashes made their first four shots and the Bobcats made six of their first ten by the 6:48 media break in the first.
Ohio was able to take a 27-21 by the end the first and started the second with a 12-0 run en route to a 51-32 halftime lead.
